Ollie Stedman

20th May 1991 1.91m/116kg Blindside Flanker

A product of the highly successful Yorkshire Academy, he made a handful of appearances for the club while in the Premiership before joining Newcastle Falcons, then of the Championship, in 2012. Falcons were promoted that season with victory over Bedford in the play-off final.

From there he joined London Welsh, whom he featured for prominently as they secured promotion to the Premiership, playing nearly every minute of the two-legged tie against his former employers Leeds.

Stedman quickly returned to the second tier with Doncaster Knights where he ended up featuring in another play-off final, coming up just short against Bristol before moving back to Leeds, now Yorkshire Carnegie, in 2016.

Two strong seasons at Headingley before the club suffered financial challenges, and Stedman was on the move again, this time to promotion chasing Ealing Trailfinders. After ten appearances, and not enjoying his spell in the capital, he moved back north to Castle Park.

A nasty ankle injury in February 2020 cut short his second spell at the Knights, but he is back fighting fit and looking to impose himself at Goldington Road.

He has made more than 100 appearances in the division and is equally adept at flanker or No. 8, adding more competition to a strong back row-unit.

Ollie Stedman signed Bedford Blues for the 2021/22 Championship campaign.
