Exeter Chiefs ran out 18-16 victors over Saracens in this afternoon's AVIVA Premiership semi-final clash from Sandy Park. The champions started brightly, scoring two early penalties and putting a lot of pressure on the Exeter defence, however, the Chiefs managed to score two penalties of their own and went into the break all square. Exeter took the lead early in the first half thanks to a Jack Nowell try but when Sarries hit back with two tries of their own it looked like this fixture was over. But, in the dying moments, Simmonds crashed over the line from the back of a maul to clinch victory for the Chiefs and book their place in the Premiership final. What a game of rugby that was!
