The Cheetahs are now within 2 points of the Pumas. The Pumas have a 15m lineout and would love to put some points on the board and try turn the momentum around. However they lose the ball after the Cheetahs win a penalty for not releasing the ball at the ruck. Cheetahs are able to clear up field.

Blood reversal

The Cheetahs get a messy interception and are on the counter. Both teams then engage in a kicking battle. Bell looks to have lost the ball forward on his own 22m, but the ref calls play on. Bell mistakenly believes he lost it forward and just kicks the ball out, which actually goes out 2m further back from where he was standing, as he thought the scrum would be called. The lineout then had to be formed 10m out from the tryline. The Cheetahs form a maul and Pretorius breaks from the back and somehow wiggles his way through a number of players and goes over for a try in the corner.
