Leicester Tigers ran out 16-12 victors over Exeter Chiefs in this Anglo-Welsh Cup final clash at Twickenham Stoop. Both sides started brightly and displayed an exceptionally high standard of rugby, both attacking and defensively. Freddie Burns was incredible for Leicester, dictating the tempo of the game masterfully with some pinpoint territorial kicking and excellent place kicking from some difficult tee positions. Exeter will be really disappointed to have come so close but can definitely take a significant amount of pride in their high performance level. Leicester will be over the moon to have picked up the first available piece of silverware this season and will be looking to continue this impressive run of form as the AVIVA Premiership season draws to a close.
