The Cheetahs hung on desperately for a thrilling one-point (25-24) Super Rugby win over the Blues in Bloemfontein on Friday.
The teams scored three tries each, with Joe Pietersen slotting a penalty in the 79th minute to win the game for the home side.
Yet, the Blues came within moments of a late winner, flyhalf Ihaia West's attempted drop-goal just sailing wide of the right upright after the hooter for full-time had already sounded.
And that was all that was in it - one successful kick on the Cheetahs'' side and a failed drop-goal on the Blues' side.
