It’s just one game into the second half of the league phase of the season for most teams, but for the contenders in the South African conference their Vodacom Super Rugby campaigns reach a crucial phase this weekend.
It probably isn’t stretching it to suggest that while at the moment it is nip and tuck in what has developed into an unprecedented four-horse race between the Vodacom Bulls, the DHL Stormers, the Emirates Lions and the Cell C Sharks, the middle of May could well see one of the teams in a place of relative comfort.
