The Cornish Pirates have confirmed that Kiwi centre Dan Koster has signed a one-year contract with the Cornish Pirates.

A former Canterbury under 20s and more recently Canterbury 'B' player, is an experienced midfield performer, with both try-scoring and defensive credentials.

Educated at Shirley Boys High School in Christchurch, Koster is also self-employed as a Personal Trainer, and in 2016 was a finalist for Snap Fitness Australasia trainer of the year.

Now aged 25, he and his wife Danielle are looking forward to moving to Cornwall. They are due to arrive in mid-June and Dan is also eager for the challenge to compete in a different environment. He has commented:

"I'm very excited about the opportunity to be a part of the Pirates for the upcoming season and my wife and I are very much looking forward to making the move to Cornwall."
