After losing their opening game against Ireland, Wales travelled to the Stade de France looking to get back to winning ways. In what was a tight game, George North scored a try 10 minutes from time before Leigh Halfpenny scored a long range penalty to secure the Welsh a 16-6 win. Wales were able to win their final three games and in the end were crowned Six Nations champions.

Having won their first four games, Wales went into the final game looking to secure a Grand Slam with a win over France at the Millennium Stadium. In what was a tight affair, Wales were able to claim their 11th Grand Slam with a 16-9 win thanks to the boot of Leigh Halfpenny and a try from Alex Cuthbert.

2011

France and Wales met in the final round of games in the 2011 championship with Wales needing a comprehensive win to pip England to the win. In the end France recorded a comfortable 28-9 win thanks to tries from Clerc and Nallet (x2) and the boot of Parra. The win was good enough for France finish in 2nd with Wales finishing in fourth.

2011

France and Wales met twice in 2011 with the second meeting taking place in Auckland in a World Cup semi-final. Wales were looking to make it to their first ever World Cup final but in the end came up short with France winning 9-8 thanks to three penalties from Morgan Parra. The game was marred by controversy for Sam Warburton’s red card in the 61st minute with France having the numerical advantage they were able to hold onto their lead and make it through to their third World Cup final.
