Friday Round-Up
Pocock & Beale sign on: Australia have secured the commitment of two key players after flanker David Pocock and back Kurtley Beale signed new deals with the ARU. Pocock will continue his rugby in the nation’s capital with the Brumbies and with the Wallabies through until the end of next season, while Beale has extended his time with the 2014 Super Rugby Champions, the Waratahs, for two years. Both Beale and Pocock will depart on Saturday with their Wallabies team-mates for an historic Test against the USA Eagles in Chicago ahead of their quest to become world champions in England almost ten years to the day since departing as Australian Schoolboys team-mates on their UK tour in 2005.

Warburton injury no concern: Wales are not worried about Sam Warburton's fitness despite the captain not being available to face Ireland this weekend. Head coach Warren Gatland has brought back most of his first choice players for Saturday's game in Dublin, with Warburton a notable absentee. However the news on Warburton is positive, with Wales taking the cautious approach over their captain's return. "Warburton has a little knock on his shoulder which is like a pinched nerve," Gatland told reporters. "It’s nothing serious and he could have played this weekend but we thought we’d give it an extra week."
