George Cox commits to Nottingham Rugby

Flanker George Cox is the latest Nottingham Rugby player to extend his contract with the club, signing a new one-year deal at The Bay.

The 20-year-old has made a total of 11 league and cup appearances for the Green and Whites over the last two seasons, joining the club after a successful spell with the Northampton Saints Academy. where he was selected to play for England Under-18s at the 2015 Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa.

Cox then spent a large part of last season on loan at Hinckley in National League Division Two North, helping the Midlands-based side to a comfortable mid-table finish in their first season back at Level 4.


A total of 38 players are now committed to the club for the forthcoming new season, with pre-season training due to start this Wednesday (7th June) as the Green & Whites prepare for another assault on the Greene King IPA Championship and British & Irish Cup.
