Giteau spurns Racing Metro to re-sign with Toulon

Matt Giteau will stay at Toulon player for another two seasons at least after signing a new contract with the double-winners.
Giteau played an integral role in Toulon's charge to the Heineken Cup and Top 14 last term and was courting the interest of Racing Metro with his contract up at the end of the current campaign.
Reports suggested Metro were prepared to make Giteau the first player to earn €1m a season, but he has decided to extend his stay with Toulon.
Giteau, who joined Toulon in 2011, has penned a new two-year contract which has the option of a third.
