Henderson ready for Kingspan return

Henderson ready for Kingspan return

British & Irish Lion and Ireland international forward Iain Henderson could be set to feature for Ulster tomorrow night as they host Dragons at the Kingspan.

Henderson last played on the 27th June in a dramatic draw against the Hurricanes in Wellington.

Ulster Director of Rugby Les Kiss said Henderson is ready to make an impact off the bench against the Welsh region and provided an update on fellow Lion Jared Payne.

"Hendy will be back and come off the bench for us," Kiss told TalkRugbyUnion.co.uk. "In terms of Jared, from next week he will be available."

Ireland captain Rory Best is expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks with a hamstring tear. However, there is a positive update on Marcell Coetzee, who is recovering well from knee surgery.

"It’s the knee so we’re just making sure it’s all in a good place and go through the right processes," Kiss said. "He’s got fluid in it so it’s just working through that and making sure it’s clear on all that.
