Great win for Otago as they punished Auckland's mistakes in this game. Sio Tomkinson starred for the home side scoring his side's first and last try of the match, while Jona Nareki also added two tries to his season total.

Teihorangi Walden was in fine form defensively in this match forcing errors from the Auckland backs and made a number of turnovers.

Auckland almost made a late comeback when George Moala bashed his way over the line for his second try of the game but Milo-Harris rushed the kick and missed it.

Otago scored another try shortly after the kick off but it was Auckland who had the final say with a penalty try after the hooter.
