James Simpson-Daniel retires due to injury


Gloucester wing James Simpson-Daniel has been forced to retire from rugby after failing to recover from an ankle injury.



Simpson-Daniel, who scored 15 points in 10 caps for England, has been sidelined since last November when he suffered an horrific ankle injury in an LV= Cup fixture against Newcastle Falcons at Kingsholm.



"When I was given the diagnosis by the specialist, they were obviously the last words I wanted to hear," Simpson-Daniel, 32, said.
