Leicester Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill called for his side to "hold their nerve" as they piled the pressure on the Premiership's top four with Saturday's 28-8 victory over Sale.
Tigers' third consecutive win took them to within a point of second-placed Saracens and level on points with fifth-placed Bath, who have lost their last three.
With six matches remaining and just one point separating second and sixth, it is set to be the tightest play-off race in recent memory.
Cockerill said: "We're starting to get to the business end of the season.
