Officials for key games in the World Cup
Here we take a look at who will be reffing the key games in the pool stages.


Jaco Peyper - The South African ref will officiate the first game of the tournament as England take on Fiji in Twickenham. Peyper will also take charge of the 2015 Super Rugby final when the Highlanders take on the Hurricanes. Peyper could be potentially in charge of 2, 2nd place decider matches when Samoa face Scotland in Pool B and Argentina and Tonga clash in Pool C

Craig Joubert - After a controversial performance in the Super Rugby semi final in which the Waratahs were involved in. Australia fans will not be best pleased to find out that he will be reffing a potential group decider when the Wallaby's will take on Wales. Joubert will also be in charge of the northern Hemisphere encounter between France and Italy in Pool D.

Nigel Owens - The WRU referee will take charge of the heavyweight clash in Pool D when France take on Ireland. Owens reffed the Champions Cup final last season and he will also take charge of South Africa vs Scotland in Pool B.

Romain Poite - This will be the French referee's 2nd world cup and he has been handed the task of officiating England vs Australia in Pool A. Also fellow FFR ref Jerome Garces will take charge of England vs Wales in which will be an extraordinary group.
