Preview of tonight's Pro12 games
Scarlets vs Munster, (19:05) BBC Wales & TG4

Two quality teams face off tonight. Scarlets are a side inform and have one of the most clinical wingers in their side in DTH Van Der Merwe who has been on a fire. Munster however have been arguably more impressive so far this season, sitting one point clear of the Scarlets in first place in the league table. They too have been without a host of starters so far, but have looked impressive under the leadership of No. 8 CJ Stander. This is sure to be a close counter between two quality sides, could go either way!

Prediction: Scarlets by 3.

Newport Gwent Dragons vs Treviso (19:15)

Treviso travel to Rodney Parade on Friday in search of what would be a first win of the season for the Italian outfit. Their opponents, the Dragons, are also in desperate need of a win, with only an unimpressive victory over Zebre keeping them from being winless this season. The Dragons are unbeaten against Treviso in their last three matches, but it’s always a tight clash between these two, so expect it to be no different tonight.

Prediction: Dragons by 6.

Ulster vs Cardiff Blues (19:35) BBC NI

Ulster host Cardiff tonight on the back of their disappointing defeat to Edinburgh last weekend, looking to quickly make amends and climb up the table. The Irish province have endured a poor start to the season by their lofty standards, with only two wins to their name. Tonight’s opponents Cardiff find themselves in an even worse position in the league. An opening day victory has been followed up by three successive losses at the hands of Irish teams, tight defeats to Leinster, Munster and Connacht away from home. This week sees their fourth match in Ireland in succession, and they will be hoping tonights result will be different to those over the last few weeks. Ulster have won five of the last six against Cardiff, and they will be confident of continuing that run tonight at Ravenhill.

Prediction: Ulster by 7-10.

Leinster vs Glasgow Warriors (19:45) Sky Sports 1

Tonight Leinster face Glasgow in what is very much a mid-table battle. Both sides are left with just two wins from their opening four matches, as they lie in sixth and seventh place respectively. However, that should not take away from what is always a high quality and closely fought affair between these two. It’s usually a close run affair between these two, and a look at the form book confirms this. Last time the two met they played out a pulsating 34-34 draw, and impartial onlookers will be looking for much the same outcome.

Prediction: Glasgow by 3.
