PRO D2 Preview: Biarritz vs Colomiers

After some doubts, the Pro D2 season will start well this Thursday evening in Aguilera, with the Biarritz and Colomiers meeting.

After the aborted sale of Biarritz this summer, the Basque club has recruited big names, such as the Welshman Rhys Webb, who will start against the Columérains, and the Englishman Jonathan Joseph.

Since the creation of the PRO D2, only three future champions have lost on the first day. These are Racing 92 in the 2008-2009 season, Agen the following season and finally USAP in 2020-2021.

Only one team drew before brandishing the shield a few months later, it is Grenoble (2011-2012). Statistically, the winners oof this clash are likely to be named future champions.
