Romanian Prop Alexandru Tarus signs for Sale Sharks

Tarus has represented Romania 16 times and currently plays for Beziers in ProD2. He represented Romania twice in the 2015 World Cup against Ireland and Canada.

Director of Rugby Steve Diamond said: "Alexandru is a great signing for us, he can play on both sides of the scrum although he is a specialist tighthead.

"He is a big lad at 1.85m, weighing 125kg's and he will, I am sure, fit perfectly at the Sharks."

Alexandru said: " This is a great opportunity for me to play in the Premiership. "I know Vadim Cobilas well and he told me what a great club Sale Sharks are to play for."
