Salford Post £5m Loss

Salford Red Devils have revealed in their latest accounts that the club made a loss of in excess of £5 million in the year ending 31 January 2014. The loss, which is thought to be the biggest ever annual loss by a UK rugby league club, came in the first year after Dr Marwan Koukash completed his takeover the club on 31 January 2013 as the Liverpool-based racehorse owner sought to make Salford competitive at the top end of Super League.
