Schoeman handed a 4-week ban

Edinburgh prop Pierre Schoeman has been suspended for four weeks following his red card in their 31-7 loss to Leinster.

The South African was sent off in the 71st minute after his elbow made contact with the head of Leinster flank Dan Leavy while carrying the ball.

The 24-year-old was handed a six-week ban that was reduced by two weeks due to mitigating factors.

The prop will miss the Pro14 matches against Treviso and the Cheetahs as well as Edinburgh’s first two Champions Cup games.
