Doc Craven hated holidays and said that we (South Africans) were a nation of holiday-makers.
Two long weekends in a row suggests that Doc had a point though this weekend schools have been keener to play, fitting matches in on Thursday and Friday as well as Saturday.
In the Midlands of KwaZulu-Natal there was an FNB Classic Clash where Weston turned the tables on Treverton in no uncertain terms.
Also in the Midlands there was the Michaelhouse-Hilton derby.
In Bloemfontein there was the big clash between Grey College and Paarl Boys' High.
