Sheffield Eagles Join Keighley In Dispute With RFL

Sheffield Eagles are prepared to join the Keighley Cougars in taking joint action against the Rugby Football League (RFL) over the non-punishment of fielding ineligible players in the dual registration row, according to the Telegraph and Argus. Cougars chairman Gary Fawcett estimates that relegation will cost the club over £250,000 next season and is aggrieved over the RFL's decision to reinstate points to relegation rivals Batley (as well as Doncaster) after both clubs were docked points for fiedling ineligible players.
