A fierce encounter between these two sides as the home side outscore the visitors 7 tries to 2. The home side exhibited excellent execution and ball handling resulting in plenty of opportunities being created on attack. The visitors threw all the had at the Hurricanes but, poor handling and ill discipline at times cost them dearly. Bauden Barrett had a poor showing with the boot according to his usual high standards. The Savea brothers were immense on defense and attack but, the Barrett brothers were instrumental as well in helping their side geta well deserved win.
