The top try scorers in the Six Nations who are still playing today

5. Alex Cuthbert

8 tries in three Six Nations campaigns is pretty good for Cuthbert as he looks to break into double figures in this years championships. After making his Six Nations debut in 2012 he has been a regular starter for Wales and at the age of 24 he has a lot more campaigns to look forward to as he hopes to catch up with former Wales International Shane Williams who finished with 22 tries.

4. Imanol Harinordoquy

His French career may be over but Harinordoquy still holds the record as the forward with the most tries in the Six Nations. He was able to score 9 tries in his ten year career with the French team. At 34 his playing days seem to coming to an end but with the number 8 still putting in impressive performances for Toulouse he is still hoping for a recall. The recall seems very unlikely but if there are a host of injuries, Philippe Saint-Andre may give the former Biarritz man the opportunity to put on the blue jersey once again.

3. Aurelien Rougerie

Since making his debut for France in 2001 Rougerie will be disappointed only to have scored 10 tries in the Six Nations. He looks to have played his last game for France with Fofana and Bastareaud the first choice centres. His inconsistency for France let him down missing out on being picked for many Six Nations squad. He finished on 76 caps overall for France and will be disappointed not to have added more than 10 tries in his Six Nations career.

2. Vincent Clerc

Another player who should have more tries in the Six Nations if it not for serious injuries to have disrupted his France career. Clerc scored his first Six Nations try in 2003 against Wales and added a further 10 with Clerc on 11 tries at the moment. As of now,  Clerc is not in contention for a place in France squad and with such strength and depth on the wing it looks unlikely that he will get the chance to put on the French jersey again.

1. Tommy Bowe

With 14 tries to his name Tommy Bowe is the leading try scorer in the Six Nations who is still playing today. Bowe is fifth in the overall standings still chasing Brian O’Driscoll’s record of 26 tries. At 30 Bowe still has a few more years left in his career as he looks to break his former teammates record. The Ulster Winger scored two tries in the Autumn series and after failing to get a try against Italy last weekend he will look to make no mistake against the French this Saturday.
