Reynold Lee-Lo

Too often in the Pro 12, we are forced to watch games that are on the high end of the spectrum in terms of physicality but fail to show moments of real innovation. Tonight we were treated to a display of true flair by Cardiff’s centre, Lee-Lo. The number thirteen was extremely dangerous all night in broken play, showing off his magnificent footwork to beat defenders again and again. He went over for a couple of tries on the night. For his first he ran a near perfect line before collecting a brilliant short pass from Anscombe which put the Samoan through a huge gap unopposed. His second was a fantastic individual effort as he used his dancing feet to break through the Ulster defence before beating the cover tackle from Charles Piutau with another beautiful side-step. A dazzling performance from Lee-Lo which resulted in a well-deserved MOTM award.

Sam James

James was hugely influential in Sale's win this evening as he managed to score two tries in the first half giving them a comfortable footing in the game. James was menacing in attack running some sharp lines which contributed to his two scores. James's efforts means he was awarded man of the match.

Byron McGuigan

McGuigan was a live wire throughout the game causing Worcester's defence problems on numerous occasions. McGuigan was finally rewarded for his attacking efforts in the 64th minute as he executed an impressive chip and chase to score for Sale.
