Torsten van Jaarsveld out for 6-8 weeks

Cheetahs hooker Torsten van Jaarsveld has been ruled out for the remainder of the Super Rugby season with a neck injury.

The 29-year-old picked up an injury that was later confirmed as a bulging disc in his neck while on duty for the Namibian national side at the World Rugby Nations' Cup that took place in Uruguay from June 10-18.

He has been ruled out for six to eight weeks.

Springbok flank Oupa Mohoje is still being assessed after picking up a concussion in the second Test against France in Durban while there is also concern over Paul Schoeman, who is still suffering from thrombosis after his flight to Australia last month.
