Two SA players caught doping

It has been reported that two South African Super Rugby players have tested positive for banned supbastances.

No names have been released but it is believed that one players is from the Durban based Sharks franchise and the other from the Southern Kings.


The news broke last night on Metro FM's rugby show with Robert Marawa, Thando Manana, Kaunda Ntunja & Lawrence Sephaka confirming that the players have tested positive, forcing one into retirement.

SAIDS (South African Institute for Drug Free Sport) has stated the names will not be released as the hearings and protocol need to be adhered too first to protect the players identity.
