Zebo chats about nerve-wracking selection wait

Simon Zebo admitted that the final moments before he knew he had been selected for the Rugby World Cup were incredibly nerve-wracking.

Zebo made the cut as Ireland head into a World Cup with significant expectations.

"I don't think I've ever refreshed my email so much in my life, just hoping for something to pop up. It was a long old day," he told Munster Rugby.

"I spent it wisely by chilling out with my family, trying to get them to take my mind off things, and it worked out well.

"But I was on the phone to a few lads like Conor Murray and Earlsie hoping they hadn't received anything without me!

"These warm-up games have been a lot more expansive, less kicking for territory and things like that.

"It's been easier to go out and express yourself and get your hands on the ball. Whichever way a game is going, if we need to do that I'll get in and hopefully do my thing. If it's not, I'll stay out and help my team on kick chase."
