As a teenager, Rebecca swam for Wales and also competed for Great Britain in surf lifesaving where she was a world record holder and double world champion.
She then successfully transferred her talents to rugby, with the 2015 Six Nations becoming her first appearance at international level.
In January 2017, she was named in the Wales Women squad for the 2017 Six Nations tournament.
