Genge in the clear after alleged headbutt

England will breathe a sigh of relief after the announcement that English prop Ellis Genge will not face disciplinary action after an alleged headbutt on Wales’ Tomas Francis.

England won the match 24-13 but the Welsh were left fuming after the encounter in the wake of several refereeing decisions by Frenchman Romain Poite.

Genge took to social media after the game, denying the headbutt accusation which supposedly occurred in the second half after England were awarded a penalty after a dominant scrum.

Genge’s tweet read as follows:

"Thanks for all the Twitter TMO reviews but I didn’t headbutt anyone, thanks for all the messages of support for today - love this group!"
