Lions secure huge new sponsorship deal

The British & Irish Lions have welcomed the announcement of a new sponsorship deal with Vodafone worth £6-7m, according to a report from bbc.com.

The next Lions tour, to South Africa in 2021, is set to proceed as originally planned despite the massive upheaval caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

An insider stated that the deal "shows the Lions brand is strong even in a pandemic."

The Lions will be looking to avenge their 2009 series defeat to the Springboks.
