Rugby's Biggest Bruisers - Part Seven

Part 7 of Rugby's Biggest Bruisers showcases two Six Nations stalwarts along with a dah of All Black flavour.

Brad Thorn:

Thorn was born in Otago in 1975 and emigrated with his family to Australia at the age of 8. He was a prominent rugby league player from 1994-2000 before taking up union with the Crusaders in 2001. He quickly cultivated a reputation as one of the hard men of the game with his tough and robust displays on this field – a long-standing enforcer in the All Blacks team.

Andy Powell:

One of the great characters of the modern era, Powell tempered his friendly off-field persona with hard, uncompromising displays on the pitch. At nearly 2m tall and 112kg, he was a force to be reckoned with and still greatly missed.

CJ Stander

The South African-born, Ireland number 8 is one of the most robust, energetic players in the world today. Any team who squares up against Ireland will have felt the marauding, destructive presence of Stander as he spearheads both attacking and defensive efforts.
