WRU calls off Judgement Day VIII
- 982
The Welsh Rugby Union has today confirmed that Judgement Day VIII that was scheduled to take place on the 18th April has been cancelled.
This follows the recent announcement from the PRO14 that the tournament is targeting a return to play date for regional rugby of 22nd August.
the Judgement Day VIII was postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with organisers hoping it would be possible to re-schedule at a later date, but the recent announcement from PRO14 effectively rules out the idea of a near-capacity double-header occasion in Cardiff.
The Union added that supporters with tickets for Judgement Day VIII are being offered refunds, or the opportunity to donate the money they are owed to a Welsh rugby regional of their choice.
Supporters with tickets for JDVIII are offered refunds or the opportunity to donate the money owed to a Welsh rugby region of your choice – after the event was officially cancelled.
