The Teessider played A-League rugby for the Falcons’ Development Team last season, scoring a length-of-the-field solo try at Leicester Tigers after starring for the club in the Singha 7s.

"Adam's story shows that hard work and persistence really does pay off," said academy manager Mark Laycock.

England Students cap Simon Uzokwe joined the Falcons in the summer of 2016 from Darlington Mowden Park, for whom he played during his studies at Sunderland University.

Originally coming to Mowden as a hooker after impressing for Eastern Counties against Durham, he spent three seasons in Northampton Saints’ academy.
