Campese Ma'afu to join Ealing Trailfinders from Northampton Saints

Following the anouncement of his exit at Northampton Saints, Ealing Trailfinders have announced the signing of Fiji international Campese Ma’afu for the 2018/19 season.

The prop has played 21 times for the Saints so far in the 17/18 campaign, and has 50 caps for his country to add significant experience to the pack for the West Londoners.

“Campese has vast experience at the highest level, not just club rugby but also international rugby which makes him a fantastic addition for next season," said Director of rugby Ben Ward.

"He will bring significant size to our front-row and we’re looking forward to welcoming such a high profile name to Vallis Way, who I’m sure our supporters will enjoy watching in the Green and White shirt.”

On an international level, Ma’afu made his debut for Fiji in 2010 against Australia in Canberra. He has since gone on to earn 50 caps for his country, representing them at the 2011 and 2015 Rugby World Cups.

The 33-year-old will be competing with the likes of Matt Beesley and Jack O’Connell for the starting shirt next season at Vallis Way.
