Champions Cup Highlights - Gloucester vs Exeter Chiefs

The Exeter Chiefs avenged their home defeat to Gloucester in round 3 as they bounced back to beat the Cherry and Whites 29-17 in round 4 of the European Champions Cup. Exeter drew first blood midway through the first half with the opening try to lead 7-0. Gloucester responded with their first score to reduce the deficit to just two points, but Exeter would have the final say of the half as they went over for their second try on the stroke of halftime to take a 14-5 advantage into the break. Gloucester picked up a yellow card early in the second half, but the Chiefs were unable to capitalize on their numerical advantage. Exeter did strike first in the second half, with a penalty extending their lead to 17-5 heading into the final quarter. Gloucester hit back with their second try to get back into the match at 17-10 with 15 minutes remaining. A yellow card for Gloucester with 10 minutes to play allowed the Chiefs to go over for their third try to make it 22-10. Gloucester would not go down without a fight and struck back shortly after with a try making it just a five point ball game. However, immediately after Exeter would put the final nail in the coffin as they crossed for the bonus point try to leapfrog their opponents on points difference in Pool 2.
