Cheslin Kolbe on the move again?

Cheslin Kolbe could be on the move again.

Reports in South Africa suggest that Springbok and Toulon flyer Cheslin Kolbe could be on the move again, with a report by Sunday newspaper The Rapport linking him with a move back to the Stormers.

The current United Rugby Championship winners are in the market for a fullback, with Warrick Gelant joining Racing 92 ahead of the new season.

The Stormers have signed Cheetahs' fullback Clayton Blommetjies, but they are eyeing a more prominent name to replace Gelant.

Head coach John Dobson revealed that they were close to confirming a big-name signing in a recent radio interview. Many believed Willie Le Roux was their target as the Rugby World Cup winner was building a house in the Cape Winelands. According to Rapport, the Stormers aren't negotiating with Le Roux.

The report states that Kolbe is the target, with negotiations said to be at a sensitive stage, given that he only recently signed a three-year contract to join Toulon from Toulouse.

The report adds that the Stormers wouldn't be able to match the salary he is on at Toulon. Still, SA Rugby could contribute, as he is a player of national interest, meaning he could earn a competitive salary.
