Australia got off to the perfect start in the second half, with an early try seeing them slash the deficit to just a single point. However, England hit back almost immediately with their third try to restore their eight point advantage at 24-16. England added another penalty to take control of the match at 27-16 heading into the final quarter. England had the ascendency and made their dominance count as they kept the scoreboard ticking over, kicking two more penalties to extend their lead out to 33-16. England would put the cherry on the cake with a late fourth try to book their place in the semi-finals where they will play the winner of New Zealand and Ireland.
