HIGHLIGHTS: New Zealand v South Africa - Rugby World Cup 2019
A strong first half performance by New Zealand paved the way to a 23-13 win over South Africa in a clash of the titans of Pool B. South Africa kicked an early penalty to open up a 3-0 lead, but a 5 minute blitz period by the All Blacks saw them level the scores with a penalty and cross for two tries in quick succession to take a 17-3 advantage into the break. An early second half try got the Springboks right back into the match as they trailed 17-10. A well taken drop goal saw South Africa reduce the deficit to just four points heading into the final quarter of the match. However, New Zealand showed their class, finishing the game strongly as they kicked two penalties in the final 15 minutes to take control of the race for top spot in Pool B.
