Auckland get their first win after their draw last week. They put in a commanding performance to leave Northland wondering what happened. Northland struggled to keep the ball for most of the game and when they got into crucial areas, they lost it. Auckland ran well with the ball, constantly putting pressure on Northland. But it was their defense that was really outstanding. Big tackles and closing space, forced mistakes. Northland eventually scored on fulltime, but you can almost forgive Auckland for tiring.
