Revealed: Schalk Brits isn't coming out of retirement

Schalk Brits was back in the headlines this past weekend when the World Cup-winning Springbok hooker posted a cryptic message on social media hinting at the idea of him coming out of retirement for the Bulls ahead of the Super Rugby season.

However, it was not to be for the 38-year-old with the Bulls confirming on Monday that Brits is returning to Loftus, the home of the Bulls, for a Father and Son Campout later this year.

In a statement from the Bulls, Brits said: “It’s not only a memory for the boys, but for me as well. We all know time is short. When you lie on your deathbed, you won’t remember what you achieved, but who you achieved it with. Those memories are what’s important to me.”
