Ringrose ruled out of Ireland's final Six Nations' clash

Ireland will be without the services of centre Garry Ringrose for their final Six Nations' clash of 2020.

Ringrose has suffered a broken jaw during Ireland's 50-17 win over Italy. He will now miss Ireland trip to Paris where they require a bonus-point victory over France to win the Six Nations' title.

Ireland head coach Andy Farrell confirmed the news after the clash and said the centre, who filled in at scrumhalf when Conor Murray was sent to the sin bin, could be sidelined for four to six weeks, potentially ruling him out of Ireland's Autumn Nations Cup campaign.

“Garry Ringrose has broken his jaw so bad news for us all,” Farrell said.

“He’s been so good for us the last 10 days, he has been absolutely fantastic with his leadership and he was a big part of the reason why we got what we wanted out of today.

“He was unfortunate with his thumb injury earlier in the Six Nations and he has come back and had a setback like that which will keep him out for four to six weeks so we’re gutted for Garry.”
