Exeter Chiefs’ roller-coaster of a season took yet another dramatic twist and turn on Sunday as a first-ever victory at Allianz Park saw them leap-frog Saracens and land in the play-off spots.

A Thomas Waldrom try nine minutes from time – converted by Gareth Steenson – was the difference, with Rob Baxter’s side surviving enormous late pressure to register a famous win in North London.

Waldrom also dotted down in the first half, as did Luke Cowan-Dickie, with Steenson converting both and booting an early penalty.
