Former Ireland standoff Ronan O’Gara has denied reports that he has already signed a contract with Top 14 side La Rochelle and has stated that there are several offers on the table.

Reports in France on Monday said that O'Gara was set to join the Top 14 side as backs coach on a three-year deal.

O'Gara denied the reports when speaking to Off The Ball on Tuesday, O'Gara said that "nothing is done yet" but that a decision over his coaching future will be made within the next two weeks.

Since his retirement, O'Gara has held coaching roles at Racing 92 and has been the backs coach with the Crusaders since January 2018, where he helped the Canterbury-based side retain the Super Rugby title.

O'Gara said that one of his options was to stay with the Crusaders for another year.

"I’ve got to weigh up a few options. There's some really tough decisions to make. So hopefully in the next 10 or 14 days there will be a decision. But nothing is done yet."

"There are other options. There are two or three other options. It's a great position to be in."

"There is a sporting decision to make and a family decision to make. And, I could stay with the Crusaders for another season."

O'Gara went on to say that he would not be signing with his former club, Munster, but that he considering offers in Ireland.

"I have spoken to Munster but there is no serious conversation in terms of a coaching position because I don't want to go down that route right now."

"If I am good enough I can get a job at home on my terms."

The World Rugby Hall of Famer said that if he were to leave the Crusaders it would likely be for a head coaching role either in New Zealand or France.

O'Gara said that his next coaching role if he does not stay with Crusaders will likely be as a head coach in either New Zealand or France.
