Seattle Seawolves sign Ryan Youngman

The Seattle Seawolves have announced the signing of former Army Barracks Ranger and current Seattle Saracen, Ryan Youngman.

Originally from Scotland, Ryan first picked up the oval ball at his high school, Gordonstoun. Playing four years for the independent school’s side, Youngman chose to head across the pond to the University of Washington to pursue a political science degree.

His rugby aspirations remained strong as he suited up with the Huskies for four years. After completing his undergrad, he joined the U.S. Army where he got to continue his rugby career while serving with the Fort Sill Gunners (10-11) and Barracks Rangers (11-14).

Youngman returned to Seattle in 2014 where he joined the Seattle Saracens. He has been playing for the local club side for five years in the British Columbia competition. Ryan brings technical skill and multi-position ability in the front row to the Seawolves’ forward pack.

“I'm very excited to be part of such an outstanding organization,” said Youngman. “and look forward to continuing to contribute to the great Seattle rugby community”
