Six Nations: Predictions

Saturday

France vs Scotland, Stade de France (14:15 GMT)

France have rung in the changes for their must win clash against injury ravaged Scotland in Paris. Jaqnues Brunel has made 5 changes to his side, who have lost their opening two games of the competition, with youthful Toulouse duo Romain Ntamack, 19, starting at fly-half and Antoine Dupont, 22, set to start at scrum-half. Scotland travel without Finn Russell, Stuart Hogg and have lost centre Huw Jones for the rest of the competiton. An intruiging contest awaits, with Scotland winning the last clash between the pair. However with the pressure firmly on France to produce a performance after last the disappointing result 2 weeks ago at Twickenham and a buyont French crowd behind them, the French are slight favourites.

Prediction: France by 7.

Wales vs England, Principality Stadium, (16:45 GMT)

Massive fixture awaits in Cardiff on Saturday evening with Warren Gatland's Wales hosting Eddie Jones' ressurgent England side, with both teams still gunning for the Grandslam. The mind-games from both sides have been ongoing for the last 2 weeks, with both knowing winning puts them firmly in the driving seat for the championship. Wales are currently on a record best 11 match winning streak, while England have re-found their form with a hugely impressive win in Dublin over Ireland and a convincing win over France. Always a special fixture and an extremely tough one to call, but if England keep up their current form it's hard to look past Eddie Jones and co. coming away from Cardiff with a win.

Prediction: England by 5

Sunday

Italy vs Ireland, Stadio Olimpico, (15:00 GMT)

Joe Schmidt's Ireland side got their campaign back on track with a hard-fought victory over Scotland at Murrayfield, meanwhile Italy put up a good fight away to Wales but were ultimately undone in the second half. Ireland have made 4 changes to the team, with Jack Carty on the bench and could make his first cap if he features. Hard to look past an Ireland victory and they should claim all 5 points.

Prediction: Ireland by 20+
