St Patrick's Day Throwback!

St Patrick's Day Throwback!

To celebrate St Patrick's day 2019, we take a look back at the final round of the 2018 Six Nations clash between Ireland and England at Twickenham.

Ireland came into the clash looking to seal the Grand Slam and the 2018 title, taking the title off the 2017 Champions, England.

Garry Ringrose, CJ Stander and Jacob Stockdale lit up a snowy Twickenham dotting down in the first half as Ireland took control of the clash as Joe Schmidt's men opened up a 21-5 despite being a man down with CJ Stander in the bin.

A double from Elliot Daly and Jonny May's try with the clock in the red at the end of the game brought only faint consolation for the home side.

England had won 14 matches in a row at Twickenham but their poor form in 2018 went from disappointing to disastrous under a green-shirted onslaught.

It was Fields of Athenry that was ringing through the freezing air rather than Swing Low.
