The Crusaders bounced back from their loss to the Chiefs with a 25-8 away win over the Blues in round 3 of Super Rugby. The Blues got off to the perfect start with an early try, but the Crusaders got on the board with a penalty midway through the first half. The Crusaders then ran in their first try and added another penalty to take an 11-5 advantage into the break. The Blues pulled three points back with an early second half penalty, but the Crusaders responded immediately with their second try to take control at 18-8. A third Crusaders try saw the visitors take a comfortable 25-8 lead into the final quarter. The hosts were unable to get back into the match thanks to some resolute Crusaders defence which sees them make it 11 victories in a row against the Blues.
