It was Perpignan who took the lead early in the game as they went up 8-0 within ten minutes. Toulon didn't allow this to last for long though and they pounced back to get themselves a comfortable lead before the half time break as they were up 8-17. Perpignan weren't able to fight back after going down by so much and the score was eventually settled at 11-24 for Toulon!
